The new Lincoln Continental¹ full-size sedan has debuted² at the North American International Auto³ Show in Detroit.

It goes on sale this autumn in China and the United States.

Lincoln President Kumar Galhotra introduces the new model.

"It is a contrast to machines of pure speed and raw horsepower that other luxury brands use as their calling card."

As the luxury brand of Ford⁴ Motors, Lincoln is reviving the Continental as part of a multi-billion-dollar comeback for the luxury car.

Meantime, Lincoln is also targeting customers here in China.

The luxury brand expects to sell two-third of the Continentals⁵ it makes in the Chinese market.

Ford Motors CEO Mark Fields says the company is planning to double Lincoln's dealerships in China this year.

"We opened 33 dealers⁶ by the end of last year in China which exceeded the 25 that we had planned. Plus, we are on track to have 60 dealerships up and running by the end of this year."
