An inspirational act was spotted¹ on an airplane, when a young stewardess² fed a senior man who was having trouble holding a spoon.

某航班内出现温暖人心的一幕：一位年轻的空姐帮助抓不住汤匙的老人进食。

The flight departed from Zhengzhou, capital of Henan province on December 8, 2015. The old man surnamed Niu, was heading to Hainan's tropical city Sanya to spend the winter.

As a retired³ medical professor from central Henan's Xinxiang, the 71-year-old Niu was using a wheelchair to board the airplane because he became disabled by a cerebral⁴ injury in 2013.

Noticed by Fan Xuesong,a stewardess of Hainan Airlines, she arranged a front row seat for his convenience, allowing him to use the toilet and take care of himself more easily.

When giving out dinner boxes, Fan found the old man's right hand was trembling while holding the spoon. She went over and checked on the man but he could only respond with slurring⁵. She then volunteered to feed him.

The old man burst into tears when Fan told him "That's alright; let me help you with your food."

The stewardess also changed his rice box for a noodles box after noticing the old man having difficulty chewing.
