中俄联合军演进行模拟训练

Chinese and Russian commanders have conducted a simulation exercise for the ongoing¹ joint² military drills in the Baltic Sea.

Sunday's exercise simulated details of various drills such as air defense³, joint landing and maritime⁴ search and rescue.

The joint exercises kicked off on Saturday and will last until Friday.

The drills are designed to improve the two navies' capabilities⁵ in carrying out joint rescue missions and ensuring maritime economic activities.

As part of the joint exercises, both sides will attend the parade in St. Petersburg to mark Russia's Navy Day on Thursday.
