Visiting senior official of the Communist Party of China Liu Yunshan has attended events marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) in North Korea.

重在朝鲜访问的中国共产党高级官员刘云山参加了朝鲜劳动党成立70周年纪念活动。

Liu Yunshan, member of the Standing¹ Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, joined leaders of North Korea led by WPK First Secretary Kim Jong Un to watch military and civilian² parades in Pyongyang.

During his visit, Liu has also met with Kim Yong Nam, head of North Korea's Supreme³ People's Assembly.

The two exchanged views on inheriting and carrying forward the China-North Korea traditional friendship and developing bilateral⁴ relations.

During his stay, Liu paid a visit to the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun and presented floral baskets to the statues of late top DPRK leaders Kim II Sung and Kim Jong II.

Liu has visited the exhibition hall of the Chinese People's Volunteers (CPV) fallen during the 1950-1953 Korean War.
