Chinaenws, Beijing, December 27 – The classical Russian opera, King Igor, was put on in the National Grand Theatre in Beijing on December 25, the first foreign performance in the theatre. The behavior of some of the audiences was very disappointing.

Many of them were late for the show, and some of them kept on clicking their flash cameras, while some chatted and ate snacks. According to one audience, many parents took with them their kids, who, unable to appreciate, found the opera boring to them and began to grow restless1 in their seats.

“Even murmuring can be easily heard from several meters away inside the National Grand Theatre, and you can imagine how irritating2 things were last night,” complained another audience.

“The National Grand Theatre is designed to entertain the general public, and many of them are proud of seeing the performance here, but the spectators3 should at least respect the artists on stage and other spectators, ” said an analyzer.
