A UK-based consumer advocacy group "Which?" said in its report that Apple's latest smartphone iPhone XR lasted 16 hours and 32 minutes, much lower than the company's promised 25 hours.

"Which?" has tested nine iPhone models and all of their battery life fell short of Apple's claims by between 18 percent and 51 percent.

 

Though Apple responded to the report, claiming that 25 hours is the maximum battery life under the lowest power expenses of their products, the test results of some others brands by Which? showed differently.

 

HTC smartphones also fell short of promised talk time, but the difference was only around 5%.

 

On the contrary, smartphones from Sony, Nokia, and Samsung delivered better battery life in the testing than what they promised. In particular, Sony smartphones lasted around 21 percent higher than their promised talk time.
