This year's Beijing International Book Fair is officially kicking off on Wednesday, August 23rd, 2017.

 

2017年北京国际图书博览会已于本周三正式开展。

 

The 24th edition of the event is now jointly held with this year's Beijing International Book Festival at the new Beijing International Exhibition Center.

 

The fair covers an area of nearly 93,000 square meters, the largest in the event's history.

 

Around 2,500 publishing organizations from 89 countries and regions will attend the literary fest.

 

Publishers from Oman, Azerbaijan and Ukraine are to attend for the first time.

 

Some 300,000 titles are to be shown at the exhibition.

 

Ten-thousand have been selected for a special showcase of books that were published within the past five years and have achieved far-reaching influences.

 

The Beijing International Book Fair will run until Sunday, August 27th.
