Chinanews, Wuhan, Sept 22 – At present, many colleges have started their autumn semester. For students studying in the Central China Normal University, they realize that this year, their politics book contain some new contents – sexual equality education, Chu Tian Jin Bao reported.
This is part of the program launched by the Hubei Provincial Women's Federation in an effort to promote sexual equality on campus. It is also the first time for a Chinese college to include sexual equality education as a compulsory course for students.
On Wednesday, Zhou Ping, a sociology professor at Wuhan University, gave a lecture to students on the sexual inequality issue in Hubei. According to Professor Zhou, at present many female graduates encounter a lot of sexual discrimination cases when they enter the job market. Female college graduates are often discriminated against because of their age, gender or pregnancy.
