Chinese real estate giant Evergrande is reporting record sales through this past year.

 

中国房地产巨头恒大地产2015年销售额破记录。

 

Evergrande is reporting some 200 billion yuan, or around 30 billion US dollars, in property sales through 2015.

 

This represents 50 percent growth year on year.

 

Evergrande's total assets have surged nearly 60 percent to over 750 billion yuan.

 

Despite this, Evergrande's core profits are down 9 percent through 2015.

 

The company says this is a one-off problem created by foreign exchange losses after borrowing over 2.8 billion yuan.
