J: Is your name Gaylord Focker? Yes or no?
  G: Yes.
J: Are you a male nurse?
  G: No.
  J: Are you a pothead?
  G: No.
J: Have you ever smoke pot?
  G: Yes.
J: Did you spray-paint the tail of a cat to pass him off as Mr.Jinx?
  G: Yes.
J: And did you do that because you desperately2 seeking my approval?
  G: Yes.
G: Because you love my daughter Pam?
  G: Yes.
J: Did you wanna marry her? Do you want to marry her?
  G: I did until I met you.

  J: What does that mean?
G: I love your daughter, Jack. I love her more than anything. But frankly3 sir, I'm a little terried of being your son-in-law. This whole weekend has given me a lot of doubts about whether or not I could even survive in your family. I think you've got some serious issues.
J: If I lighten up, would you consider marrying my daughter?
G: Would you lighten up a lot?
  J: Yeah!
  G: Yes or not?
  J: Yes.
G: Would you let me and Pam live our lives and not interfere4 all the time?
J: I promise not to interfere in your lives all the time.
G: Will you stop making fun of me for being a nurse?
J: Could you at least try, maybe, to consider another profession?
  G: Jack, yes or no?
  J: Ever?
  G: No.
  J: Okay, yes.
G: Would you let me and Pam sleep in the same room?

J: Don't push it, Focker. You're in a real mass. If you married my daughter, Would you support her in the way that she deserves to be supported?
  G: Yes.
J: Would be honest and faithful to her?
  G: Yes.
J: Would you devote yourself entirely5 to her for the rest of your life?
  G: Yes, of course.
J: Gaylord Focker, will you be my son-in-law?

(Don't push it, Focker. You're in a real mass)丈婿俩人和解了,为了他们共同爱护的人——Pam。Greg向Jack保证,他会忠于她(be faithful),会尽其所有让她享受她应得的幸福(support her in the way that she deserves to be supported)。
