China Media Group (CMG), launched a media laboratory featuring the application of techniques including 5G, 4K and AI in Shanghai on Sunday.

Shen Haixiong, president of China Media Group, said CMG is pushing forward the 5G+4K+AI strategy to power its development and the company has used 5G, 4K and VR technologies in its coverage¹ of a series of major events such as the 2019 Spring Festival Gala, the second Belt and Road Forum² for International Cooperation and the 2019 Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition.

 

CMG on Sunday also launched the production of a 4K documentary featuring the opening-up and development stories of Shanghai's Pudong New Area over the past 30 years. The six-episode documentary is scheduled for broadcast in April, 2020. China announced the opening-up and development of Pudong in 1990.

 

Ying Yong, mayor of Shanghai, attended the launch events on Sunday.
