Huawei officially unveiled its new Honor View 20 handset for its overseas customers at a global product launch in Paris on Tuesday.

It comes with a 6.4-inch LCD display with rounded corners, a small bezel at the bottom of the screen, and a speaker grille at the top of the case. It sports a rear-facing fingerprint¹ sensor², a 48-megapixel rear camera paired with a second sensor for 3D images, a 4,000 mAh battery, and a Kirin 980 system-on-a-chip, according to the official website of Huawei Honor.

 

The new phone features a hole-punch notch³ design that houses a 25-megapixel front-facing camera. This is the first time that Huawei has used this type of design for its Honor-branded smartphones.

 

During the launch, Zhao Ming, the chief executive of Honor, released the sales report for Honor-branded smartphones in the company's overseas market. The report showed that sales in this market have increased by 170 percent compared to last year.

 

Zhao also announced that Honor had partnered with Moschino for the design of the Honor V20. He also said that the pair will produce a series of classic teddy-themed wallpapers that match with the company's logo. "Honor is an energetic brand," said Moschino Chief Executive Gabriele Maggio. "It shares the same design idea with Moschino, which is aiming for an elegant and creative product."

 

The Honor View 20 will launch in Europe and Asia with prices starting at 569 euros or 499 pounds for 6GB of RAM⁴ and 128GB of storage.
