A documentary series, "The Belt and Road," are launched on Monday at China Central Television.

The six episodes are a production around the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime¹ Silk Road that connects China to the world.

The series take a journey of some 200,000km spanning over Asia, Europe, Africa, and America. It takes a closer look at major projects and historic spots along the One Belt, One Road initiative.

The production also tells how people have been influenced by the initiative.

Infrastructure², finance, trade and cultural exchange are areas where China is cooperating closely with the countries in the initiative.
