Chinanews, Beijing, December 19 – According to a report by China National Coal Association, China will become a net coal importer in 2008, although it is the biggest coal producer in the world.

 

“China plans to optimize the usage of its coal resources by importing coal,” said an analyzer. So far, the railways in China can not meet the needs of coal transportation, and they have become the bottleneck of the coal industry as a whole, while coal from Vietnam and Indonesia can be shipped directly to the Pearl River Delta.
