Chinanews, Guangzhou, Nov. 13 – In October 2005, the PLA Military Products Assessing Committee approved the design scheme for the Xinxing 2002 and the Xinxing 2002A armoured vehicles. The two armoured vehicles were officially named ZFB05 wheeled armoured vehicle and ZFB05A wheeled armoured vehicle, respectively. This indicates that the Chinese private enterprise has set up their first complete set of armaments production system. It marks that Chinese military logistics production has made a great leap forward ever since it was launched into society, the Guangzhou Daily reported.   Mr. Wang Baohe was the first private businessman in China to deal with the complete set of armaments production. The armoured vehicles made by his company are used by UN peacekeeping force in Haiti and Lebanon. In some African countries, the armoured forces also used the armaments produced by his company. Last month, Wang was negotiating with officials of the Beijing Olympic Games Organizing Committee trying to persuade them to use Xinxing 2002 armoured vehicles for the Olympic Games. On September 2, a bomb attack occurred in Kathmandu, Nepal. About twenty people were injured in the bomb attack. After the attack, the Nepalese government purchased more armoured vehicles from Wang's company.   Wang's company, the Shaannxi Baoji Special Vehicles Production, Co., Ltd., is located in the state high-tech industrial zone in Baoji city, Shaanxi Province.   His company first aroused the public's attention in August 2006 when China and Kazakhstan held a joint military drill near the Kazakhstani border. From the recorded video, it can be seen that during the drill, the Xinjiang border security and police forces used at least 15 Xinxing 2002 multi-functional armoured vehicles in the military exercise.   Early in 2004 when China sent a peacekeeping force to Haiti at UN's request, the Chinese riot police had already used the Xinxing 2002 multi-functional armoured vehicles on their military mission.   “We are the first private company in China that has ever involved in armaments production business. We are also the first private Chinese company that has ever produced such armaments for UN peacekeeping forces,” Wang said.
