Chinanews, Beijing, December 22 - Over 376 million mobile phones were produced in China in the first ten months of 2006, a 63.8% growth compared with the same period last year. It is estimated that about 40% of mobile phones will be produced and sold in China in 2007.
According to the Ministry1 of Information Industry, rural areas in China will present mobile phone makers2 with a potential market, and Chinese mobile phone makers have developed various models to meed the needs of the farmers, which is the main reason of the booming of the mobile phone industry in China.
