Applying for a Management Position

Daniel：Good morning. I'm Daniel. I'm applying for the position of manager.

Interviewer¹：Yes. Sit down, please. How did you learn about ❶ our company?

Daniel：I got to know your company through such famous brands as LUX, LIPTON, and

WALLS. After making a customer survey, I was glad to find out how much your products are

appreciated by millions of Chinese.

Interviewer：Why would you like to work with us?

Daniel：It's the job I'm interested in, and your company is the best-known. Although I don't

have much experience as a manager, the job description you sent me was very interesting. It's a

job I have been dreaming of and I feel suited to fill it.

Interviewer： Oh, really? Would you transfer² to ❷ another company if it is not what you

expected?

Daniel： I don't think so. As the saying goes ❸ , a great oak³ needs deep roots ❹ . I'm really

interested in this job.

Interviewer：That's fine. Thanks for coming to see us. I hope to be able to let you know

about the job within the week.
