    约翰瞄了一眼那个美丽的女人。

11) Please take a brief look at the list of words.
    请把单词表过目一下。
    *brief 是约略看过，take a brief look 是“过目一下”之意。

12) Sometimes Henry peeps into his sister's diary.
    亨利有时候会偷看他姐姐的日记。
    *正如有 peeping Tom（爱偷看的人，偷窥狂）一样，peep 是指躲起来偷看。

13) If you look up, you can see the airplanes.
    抬头看，你看到飞机了吧。
    *look up 往上看——既可以用于表胸怀大志，也可以用于指物价上涨。

14) I will look down the hallway.
    我往下看大门口吧。
    *look down 往下看，和 look up 适得其反。

15) From the mountain, Lenny can look off across the valley.
    雷尼可以从那座山眺望谷间远处的那边。
