All the junior students in my school wanted to take part in today's competition although only one could be chosen. My school held two contests among all the Junior Three competitors. After the first round, almost all the teachers believed that my pronunciation and intonation was rather terrible. None of them thought I could pass the second round.

I felt very sad and disappointed. I'd like to find someone to talk to very much. Suddenly I thought of Ms. Hua, my English teacher. In my memories, she had never scolded anyone who was in trouble.

I soon had a talk with her. There was a smile on her face and that made me feel warm. She encouraged me to cheer up. She told me not to be afraid of any trouble in front of me. She reminded me to remember what lay in front of me and what lay after me were nothing compared to what lay within me. She assured me not to give up and to try harder. She also showed me some ways to overcome my troubles. She asked me to buy some good English tapes to listen and imitate. She asked me to go to her office occa-sionally and helped me to correct the wrong pronunciation. She read aloud my speech again and again for me and made her own record for me to understand how to make a successful speech.

At last I won the second round and I won the chance to come to Beijing. How marvelous i

Friends, do you still remember the wonderful movie by the name of Forrest Gump which won the Oscar a few years ago? I am deeply impressed by the saying in it .-Life is like a box of choco-late? you never know what you gonna get.

That's true! In our lifetime; we shall certainly meet all kinds of difficulties and troubles. There are times when you lose your directions and you don't know what to do. There are times when you fail and you feel lonely. There are times when you feel un-comfortable and you consider the world unfair. What you need most is to find someone who is patient, kind and helpful, and talk to him. I have found Ms. Hua this kind of person.

Since that special experience, whenever I do a bad job in the exams, whenever I argue with my friends, or even whenever I hope to win the 100-meter raced just go to Ms. Hua and have a talk with her. After the talks I can get my confidence, my courage and my perseverance back to get over all the troubles.

Today Ms. Hua is sitting there and listening to my speech. Ms. Hua! What I want to say here is you are the person I'd like to talk to when I'm in trouble. I'll never be scared at any trouble because you are always with me in my heart.
