In order to implement¹ the spirit of the 10th regular meeting between Chinese and Russian premiers², and to further expand and deepen the cooperation in forest industry between China and Russia, the Ministry³ of Commerce held the Matchmaking Meeting for Cooperation of Timber Processing Between China and Russia together with State Forestry⁴ Administration, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, State-owned Assets Supervision⁵ and Administration Commission, All-China Federation⁶ Of Industry & Commerce and China Development Bank in Beijing on March 8.

　　Vice⁷ Minister Yu Guangzhou attended the Meeting and gave a speech, he introduced the important significance of State Forestry Administration to the promotion⁸ of China-Russia trade and economic relations and realization⁹ of mutual¹⁰ development, summarized the development status of China-Russia cooperation in forest industry, and pointed¹¹ out measures to push forward the development of timber processing in Russia. He hoped that domestic enterprises could transform the concept, seize opportunities, walk united way and take advantage of each other's strengths, he said that the Ministry of Commerce would cooperate with related ministries¹² to maintain providing favorable environment for enterprises' cooperation to greatly promote the cooperation of timber processing in Russia. Assistant Minister Chen Jian took part in the Meeting and gave a speech of summarization, he hoped that entrepreneurs could seize good chances in the process of developing China-Russia trade and economic relations and implementing¹³ strategy of "Going Global" to actively¹⁴ seek for effective channels and modes to promote sustainable development of China-Russia Cooperation in Forest Industry.
