An overwhelming 96.6 percent of Crimean voters chose to join Russia in the Sunday's referendum on the status of the Ukraine's autonomous¹ republic, according to the latest official results.

 

据最新官方数据显示，周日有关克里米亚主权状态的公投中，有96.6%的投票者选择加入俄罗斯。

 

公投（referendum或plebiscite）指让全体选民通过直接投票（direct vote）的方式对某个特定议题进行表决的方式，“举行公投”可用hold a referendum表示，如：Crimea held a referendum on whether to join Russia on Sunday.

 

此次公投的最终投票率（final turnout rate）为82.71%，一共设立1205个投票站（polling station）。公投原定时间为3月30日，但是在乌克兰最高拉达(议会)废除了规定俄语作为官方语言（annul Russian as the official language）的相关法律后被提前到3月16日。该地区曾在1991年和1994年举行过两次公投征询民众有关是否加入俄罗斯的意见。
