Huang Tingsong, a spokesman for Hubei's public security department, said Xiong is from Shiyan in the province and does business in Guangdong. He has confessed that he fabricated the bomb story and made the threatening call.

这位犯罪嫌疑人拨打的“恶意威胁电话”在英文里叫hoax call。Hoax的中心意思就是欺骗，主要通过fabricate story（编造故事）来trick others（戏弄别人）或者threaten people（威胁别人）。如：A series of bomb hoaxes¹ has disrupted Christmas shopping in the city centre.（一系列炸弹假警报扰乱了市中心的圣诞节购物活动。）

 

公安部门表示，该犯罪嫌疑人将面临criminal and civil liability（刑事和民事处罚）。同时，各大城市的机场也提高了safety-inspection standards（安检级别），确保air traffic safety（航空运输安全）。
