近日，“打工人”爆红网络，受到各行各业年轻人的追捧，但这词到底说的是个啥？

 

“打工人”是那些依靠体力或技术的劳动者的统称。除了赚钱这个最大的目标，别的啥也不想；他们意志坚定，也不会迟到早退。

Dagong ren（laborer, commuter） is a general term for workers who engage in physical labor or are technically skilled. With making money as their first and only goal, laborers are a resolute group, and would never be caught arriving late to work or leaving early.

 

有网友说，“打工人”的说法背后是千万草根的自嘲，他们压力大、工作环境不如意。

 

不过，“打工人”却也不仅仅指代“蓝领”，还包括普通职员和中高层管理人员（It applies to all kinds of employees, from blue-collar workers and low-level staff to  managers and top executives）。

 

它没有社畜（corporate slave）显得那么惨，也没打工仔（migrant worker）显得那么卑微，透露出小人物在平凡生活中的不懈追求。
