J: How is Yao Ming in NBA recently?

J: 姚明最近在NBA怎么样了？

B: His performance becomes more and more excellent. On October, 1st, 2003, he led Chinese National Basketball Team to get the champion of Asian Championship of Basketball and the admission¹ ticket of Athens²' Olympics.

B: 他的表现越来越出色了。2003年10月1日，他率领中国男篮拿到亚锦赛冠军，同时获得雅典奥运会入场券。

J: Wonderful! I always say he is promising³.

J: 太好了！我常说他前途无量呢！

B: Because he came from a basketball family. He was blessed with outstanding talent.

B: 由于他来自篮球世家，因此很有天赋。

J: Yes, I also learned⁴ that his father was over 2 metres and his mother was almost 1.9 meters. And his parents were top players of china in 1970s.

B: No wonder he plays so well.

J: When he was four years old, he got his first basketball in his life; at the age of six, he knew NBA; and when he was 9, he began to receive amateur⁵ training.

B: So because of his excellent performance, he was elected by the Houston Rocket of NBA on June 23, 2002.
