China's top education authority said it requires the political loyalty of potential professors if they wish to be hired by universities. 

中国教育部表示，希望受雇于大学的教授需保持“政治忠诚”。

 

“政治忠诚”，可以用 political loyalty表示，loyalty表示忠诚，如行政忠诚（ administrative loyalty）。相关词汇还有政治诚信（political honesty）。

 

《通知》指出，思想政治理论（political and ideological theory）评判教师合格的标准之一，而政治忠诚是高校聘用教师时的先决条件（a prerequisite）。一些地方和高校对思想政治理论课仍然重视不够。《通知》就此作出要求，包括培训专业教师思想政治理论（the training of professional teachers for political and ideological theory）、修订教材（fine-tune textbooks）、改革当前教育方法（reform current teaching methods）、建立完整课程体系（build a comprehensive curriculum）。
