半斤八两

小时候每次和姐姐打完架，去妈妈那里告状，她都会说：你们俩呀，半斤八两，谁都有不对的地方。那么，这个“半斤八两”用英语怎么说呢？即“six of one, half-dozen of the other”。

一个是六，另一个是十二的一半，意思就是两个东西是一样的，跟半斤八两的逻辑一样，因为古代一斤有十六两，半斤就是八两。看来中西方的思维方式在一些方面还是很相似的。
