    *to acquit = to declare （a person） not guilty （of something）
    通常因证据不足而被判决无罪释放。
    3） In his defense³, he still tried to justify⁴ himself.为了保护自己，他一直试图证明自己（的行为）是正当的。
    4） I can only try to justify what I did.我唯有坚持自己所做的事是正确的。
    5） He is absolved⁵ of all blame.他从各种的非难中获得解脱。
    *to absolved = to free from guilt², a duty, etc.从不履行责任或义务之罪中获得解脱。近乎 acquit 之意。
