Chinanews, Nanjing, Oct. 11 – According to Yangzi Evening News, a latest survey launched by Nanjing city government shows that half of old people in Nanjing fear loneliness even living with their children.

 

Currently in Nanjing there are 907 thousand people aged1 above 60, or 15% of the total population in the city. By 2025, this number will reach 25%.

 

The Nanjing city government has invested large amounts of money to help some 7,000 lonely old people, but experts say they face various psychological problems.

 

Zhao Songting, an expert from Nanjing psychological research institute, says that old people who have to take care of younger generation, and often have no time to join in social activities.
