让我们来划分一下愤怒的级别，如果angry是2星，那fury/indignation/wrath则是愤怒的最高级，fly into a fury意即勃然大怒。

 

此外，make one's blood boil（火冒三丈）和get on one's nerves（使某人烦燥不安）都是angry的升级版。

 

在这个容易让人焦虑的时代（age of anxiety），如何表达自己的愤怒，更好地解决不和谐，而不是一味地退缩容忍，变得越来越重要。

 

例子：搬新家了，可是不幸地碰上了烦人的邻居（annoying neighbors），该如何是好呢？

 

A:你如何与你的邻居独处？他们晚上还会发出这么大的噪音吗？

How do you get alone with your neighbors? Do they still make so much noise at night?

 

B:昨天晚上，他们的音乐开得太响了，我终于忍不了了，走过去对他们大喊大叫。

Last night they had their music turned on so loud that I finally just flipped² out and went over there and yelled at them.

 

这里的flip¹ out即be mad at sb.对某人生气的意思。
