act first and report later 先斩后奏

“先斩后奏”有很多灵活的表达，比如：move first and ask permission later；或者do first and ask forgiveness later；还有act first and report later。总之，结构就是...first, and...later。

 

对于利益优先的公司来说，“先斩后奏”也不无道理，因为有句老话是这么说的嘛：It's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.（请求原谅比征求许可容易。）

The company has become a magnet for criticism of its business style of moving first and asking permission later.

这家公司因其先斩后奏的商业模式引来无数批评。

 

In March he ordered soldiers to "shoot first and report later" if attacked.

三月，他要求士兵，如果受到攻击可以先斩后奏。
