The 5th Beijing International Film Festival officially kicks off with an opening ceremony today.

Over 300 Chinese and international movies will be available for screening.
 
International films scheduled to be shown include the Oscar-winning black comedy "Birdman," as well as the long-celebrated "Godfather" trilogy.
 
The fest will begin with the screening of the Italian film "Wondrous1 Boccaccio," directed by Paolo and Vittorio Taviani. 
 
Closing the event will be the premiere of Hong Kong director Lok Man Leung's crime thriller2, "Helios." 
 
The 5th Beijing International Film Festival will be held in different venues3 around the Chinese capital starting tomorrow and ending on April 23rd.
