Trend-benders 反潮族

Trend-benders are people who try to bring back old trends. They ride a bike to work when they can afford a car, write snail-mail whenever possible in preference to e-mail and prefer reading “real” books and publications¹ instead of e-books.

反潮族（trend-bender）指那些试图回归老传统的人。比如，他们有钱买车，但仍然选择骑自行车上班；可能的情况下尽量选择手写蜗牛信，而不是发送电子邮件；更愿意阅读“真正的”图书，而不是电子书。

For example:

My friend Lily is a trend-bender. She prefers sending greeting cards before the New Year instead of mass texting.
