China-Japan high-level economic dialogue kicks off

BEIJING, Dec. 1 - China and Japan held their first high-level economic dialogue here on Saturday.

 

The meeting, co-chaired by Chinese Vice1 Premier2 Zeng Peiyan and Japanese Foreign Minister Masahiko Komura, will touch upon issues concerning macro-economic policies, energy-saving and environmental protection, trade and investment, as well as multilateral and regional economic cooperation.

 

The China-Japan high-level economic dialogue mechanism3 was jointly4 launched by Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and then Prime Minister Shinzo Abe of Japan during Wen's Japan trip in April.
