    The year is dying in the night；

    Ring out， wild bells， and let him die.

    Ring out the grief that saps the mind，

    For those that here we see no more；

    Ring out the feud¹ of rich and poor，

    Ring in redress² to all mankind.

    响吧，狂暴的钟，向着狂野的天空，

    向着乱云，向着寒光。

    这一年即将在今夜逝去，

    响吧，狂暴的钟，让他消亡。

    钟声送旧，钟声迎新，

    响吧，幸福的钟，响彻皑皑白雪。

    这一年即将离去，让他去吧。

    钟声送伪，钟声迎真。

    钟声送走揪心的痛苦，

    为了我们不能再见的人，

    钟声送走贫富间的宿怨，

    钟声迎来全人类的祥和。
