Chinanews, Zhengzhou, Sept. 14 – In Zhengzhou, Henan Province, some 1.04 million fishes have been sent back to the Yellow River, in hopes of improving the ecological1 environment of the river.

 

Feng Jianxin, a local engineer, said that he hoped all people could protect fish in the Yellow River. He revealed that the species of fish in the river had decreased sharply since the 1970s. He said at least 6 years would be needed to make the fish population increase in the river.
