Chinanews, Xi'an, Aug. 31 – Have you ever seen the smallest butterfly of China? A new species of butterfly has been discovered in Xikang, Yunnan Province, which has already registered as Tongeiaminima ShouetYuan.

 

The newly discovered butterfly is only 12-17 mm in width, which was found by Professor Shou Jianxin in 2002. After years of research, he believes what he found is the smallest butterfly in China. The smallest butterfly previously1 found in China was 20 mm in width.
