Chinanews, Guangzhou, May 26 – Local police in Yangjiang, Guangdong Province has seized 800 cases of smuggled1 wild animals, including pangolins and other first and second class national protected animals, which totally weighed 20 thousand kilos. It is the first time the local police seized such large amounts of smuggled wild animals.

 

The local police captured a truck on May 22, where they found 800 cases of smuggled wild animals. But they failed to seize any of the suspects and just arrested the truck drivers.

 

Currently2 the local police is still investigating the case.
