Chinanews, Beijing, May 19 – There are 1 billion people in the world suffering from high blood pressure, including the 160 million people in China.

 

Liu Lisheng, head of World Hypertension League, revealed these statistics during a forum1 held by the Ministry2 of Health of China.

 

High blood pressure may affect one’s health seriously, and the current report reminds people of the need to lead a healthy life. It requires people to restrain from smoking and drinking, and take appropriate amounts of salt.

 

Yan Xiaowei, an expert from the Peking Union Medical College Hospital, pointed3 out that it is crucial to choose appropriate medicine as a way to fight against high blood pressure.
