Deaf footballer Wang Bin disqualified from Games for Disable

Wang Bin¹, a member of the Shanghai deaf football team, was disqualified from the Chinese National Games for the Disabled running in Kunming till May 20, said the local organizing committee on Thursday.

"The athlete was ineligible² for the Games for the Disabled after a thorough investigation," said the arbitration³ committee of the Games, following a protest from the Guangdong team.

On Wednesday, Wang scored twice to lead his Shanghai team for a 2-0 victory over Guangdong in the seven-a-side football tournament.

Upon the appeal, the arbitration committee ruled that Wang will be barred from the Games, the match result will be upheld, and his Shanghai team will continue to play the remaining matches of the Games.
