The Eaglet-500 plane was jointly1 invested and designed by scientific institutes and private enterprises.
 
Chinanews, Beijing, Oct. 9 – Commission of Science Technology and Industry for National Defense2 reveals that a ceremony marking the commissioning of three Eaglet-500 planes was held in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, on September 28. The Eaglet-500 plane, China's first plane with independent intellectual property rights, has thus been authorized3 for sell in world market. A total of 16 planes will be sold later this year.

 

The Eaglet-500 plane was jointly invested and designed by scientific institutes and private enterprises, including Shijiazhuang Aircraft Industry Co. Ltd., the No. 1 Aircraft Designing Institute affiliated4 with China Aviation Industry Corporation (AVIC), and the Civil Aviation Flight Institute.

 

This event also marks the success of the plane's design and experimental process, which may push forward the development of China's civil aviation industry.
