An unstoppable force of nature, southern matriarch Madea may have finally taken on more than she can chew. She has just been court ordered to be in charge of Nikki, a rebellious1 runaway2, her nieces Lisa and Vanessa are suffering relationship trouble, and through it all she has to organize her family reunion.

Madea's Family Reunion

Last we heard, in last year's Diary of a Mad Black Woman, Madea (Tyler Perry) was solving social, cultural and familial problems. What a busy lady! Well, she's done gone and done it again, after a whole new crop of problems pop up that need fixing.

This time, the conflicts revolve3 primarily around two sisters, Vanessa and Lisa , both of whom are wary4 of their financial-minded mother, Victoria. Vanessa is deathly afraid to love again after her husband left her and two kids and fears she might've met Mr. Right in the form of a bus driver. Meanwhile, Lisa is in a physically5 abusive relationship with Carlos, "Atlanta's most eligible6 bachelor," but is afraid to leave him.

Madea, the antithesis7 of gold-digging Victoria, solves these and many more problems, as the family reunion nears. As the reunion approaches, secrets are revealed and tensions rise. Madea must use every tactic8 in her arsenal9 to not only keep the peace, but keep her family together.
