Foreign Investment in the First 2 Months

In the first 2 months of 2006, China newly approved the establishment of 5136 foreign investment enterprises, down by 5.66%, and the actual use of foreign investment reached US$8.589 billion, down by 7.79%.

　　In Jan. and Feb., top 10 countries and regions investing in China (ranking by actual funding) were: Hong Kong, British Virgin¹ Islands, Korea, Germany, Japan, USA, Taiwan, Singapore, Samoa and Cayman Islands. And the actual funding of the 10 countries and regions accounted for 84.43% of total actual use of foreign investment of China
