1. single-fold eyelids¹

 

fold表示“折叠”，所以字面意思就是“折了一层的眼皮”，相对应的，双眼皮即 double-fold eyelids。

 

例如：

 

The girl with single-fold eyelids had ( underwent) plastic surgery to make them double folded.

这个单眼皮女孩去做了双眼皮手术。

 

2. single-edged eyelids

 

edge表示“边”、“边缘”，所以字面意思就是“只有一层边的眼皮”。

 

用法同上。

 

除了单眼皮之外，内双也是一种常见的眼型——欧美人也有，比如外号“大表姐”的珍妮弗·劳伦斯。

 

老外一般把这种眼型叫做hooded² eyes。

 

hood表示“盖上”、“罩住”。所以，字面意思就是“被盖住的眼睛”。例如：
