Two Chinese state-owned companies have signed a strategic partnership1 agreement to strengthen cooperation in their sales network.

Under the deal, there will be product and marketing2 cooperation between the country's biggest oil and gas producer CNPC, and the country's largest food processing manufacturer COFCO.
 
The deal is also part of efforts to reform State-owned enterprises to ensure stable growth in a slowing economy.
 
CNPC and COFCO already have pilot projects in the cities of Beijing, Tianjin, and in the provinces of Hebei, Shandong and Henan.
