Chinanews, Beijing, February 7 – “The era of laptops has finally come to China,” according to the Internet Society of China's report on the local IT market in 2006.

 

In the future, more and more consumers will choose laptops for their portability. Besides, laptops today are much more affordable1 than in the past.

 

In 2006, nearly 47% of PC users in China were laptop users, while the figure in 2005 was only 31%.

 

It can be estimated that laptops will take more market share in 2007, as the desktop2 PC market is becoming increasingly saturated3.
