US whistleblower Edward Snowden said the US government had been hacking¹ into computers in Hong Kong and on the Chinese mainland for years.

 

美国告密者爱德华·斯诺登表示，美国政府已入侵香港和中国大陆的电脑系统多年。

 

Whistleblower指“告发者，告密者”，也就是向公众或政府部门揭发非法活动（illegal activities）或不当行为（misconduct）的人，“检举、告发某人”就是blow the whistle on somebody，如：The government is encouraging people to blow the whistle on corruption². （政府鼓励人民举报贪污。）。前两年，我国监察机关提议的“实名举报”就是real-name whistleblowing。

 

斯诺登称，美国国家安全局（National Security Agency, NSA）在全球进行超过61000个入侵电脑行动（hacking operations）。
