湖北省公安厅新闻发言人黄庭松称，熊（毅）来自该省十堰市，在广东做生意。他已经承认自己编造有关机上炸弹的信息及拨打威胁电话的事实。

 

这位犯罪嫌疑人拨打的“恶意威胁电话”在英文里叫hoax call。Hoax的中心意思就是欺骗，主要通过fabricate story（编造故事）来trick others（戏弄别人）或者threaten people（威胁别人）。如：A series of bomb hoaxes¹ has disrupted Christmas shopping in the city centre.（一系列炸弹假警报扰乱了市中心的圣诞节购物活动。）

 

公安部门表示，该犯罪嫌疑人将面临criminal and civil liability（刑事和民事处罚）。同时，各大城市的机场也提高了safety-inspection standards（安检级别），确保air traffic safety（航空运输安全）。
