live-fire drill 实弹射击训练

The Republic of Korea (ROK) conducted one-day live-fire drills on Monday, undeterred by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK)'s threat of retaliation¹.

 

未受朝鲜打击报复威胁的阻碍，韩国于周一实施了一天的实弹射击训练。

 

文中的live-fire drills就是指“实弹射击训练”，live-fire就是指“实弹射击”，例如live-fire zone（实弹射击区）；drill就是指“操练，训练”，例如fire drill（消防演习）。

 

韩国这次演习预定持续一至两个小时，是marine corps（海军陆战队）今年第二次在waters off western border islands（西海岛屿）举行实弹射击训练，属routine drills（“例行”训练）。参加实弹训练的military hardware（武器装备）包括self-propelled howitzers（自行榴弹炮）和combat helicopters（武装直升机）。

 

此外，20日起韩美在群山附近的韩国西部海域举行为期5天的大规模antisubmarine(反潜)joint military exercise(联合军事演习)，并将从27日起举行代号“关键决断”和“秃鹫”的例行联合军事演习。
