biological identification data 生物识别信息

The draft law on entry and exit procedures, for the first time, allows the Ministry¹ of Public Security and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to put in place a system to gather biological identification data, such as fingerprints², on foreign visitors.

 

出境入境管理法草案首次提出，允许公安部和外交部根据出境入境管理的需要，对留存出境入境人员的指纹等人体生物识别信息作出规定。

 

文中的biological identification data就是指“生物识别信息”,是指通过人类biologicalcharacteristics（生物特征），如fingerprint（指纹）、脸象、iris（虹膜）等，进行identity authentication³（身份认证）的一种技术。

 

采集、存储出境入境人员指纹等人体biological information（生物信息），在进行出境入境frontier inspection（边防检查）时进行比对，可以有效甄别出境入境人员身份，有助于提高口岸clearance efficiency（通关效率），对加强出境入境管理，保障national security（国家安全）具有积极意义。
