英语中旅馆的几种说法

guest house: 旅社，客栈，小旅馆，星级旅馆千万不能译成guest house!

hotel: 一般指有一定档次的旅馆

residential1 home: 家庭旅馆

homestay表示家庭住宿旅馆

accommodation:“提供住宿”

motel:汽车旅馆

inn：乡村或公路边的旅馆，客栈

国际知名宾馆还有Ritz，Shelton等等。一般连锁有Holiday Inn（在中国一般好像是四星级）

还有一个特殊的组织叫YHA（youth hostels2 association），非营利组织，提供比较便宜的住房及旅游服务。

roadhouse： n.(公路旁的)旅馆,客栈等

gasthaus： n.旅馆, 酒店

fonda： 也是旅馆的意思

chateau3 西方一般指高级旅馆

B&B:bed and breakfast 的意思，只提供床位和早餐的路边便宜小旅店（一般是家庭开的）。
